How to Build a Business as a Mom
Hello, dear reader,
Welcome to this week’s edition of Mother Dearest.
Today, we’re talking about something rarely said out loud: how to build a business like a mom.
Because mothers don’t build in straight lines or perfect conditions.
We build between nap times and school pickups, in the quiet moments after bedtime, and with more heart than hustle.
And a lot of times it seems like it's never enough, or that we need to choose between our kids and business, because we feel like we need to do more.
However,
What if I told you that this isn’t about doing more?
It’s about doing it differently.
Let’s begin.
No one talks about the way a mom builds a business.
It’s not always inside color-coded planners (even if I want it to, I secretly loe planners or at least the idea of them) or perfectly planned launches, even though we wish that everything could go "perfectly"
Sometimes it’s built in 17-minute nap windows.
Sometimes it’s voice notes recorded in the school pickup line.
Sometimes it’s one solid hour at 9:30 PM after the world’s finally quiet.
This seems a bit much, doesn't it?
We have a message or a calling inside of us, but it seems like we can't get it out of our minds and into the world.
You're a mom and entrepreneur, how do we juggle between mom life and business life?
There is a way. A better way. To where you feel more like you are building with purpose and not from a place of lack.
Because if this spiral of trying to juggle it all continues, you are on the road to burnout and even worse, resentment.
I've been there, done that.
I’ve built in those pockets.
And I’ve learned this:
Mothers don’t lack ambition. We just need a different blueprint.
The Lesson:
Traditional business advice wasn’t made for mothers.
It expects you to grind, show up 24/7, and treat your body like a machine.
But motherhood doesn’t move like that. We don't move in straight lines.
So instead of fighting for “balance”…
Let’s build with alignment and rhythm.
Here’s how I teach moms to build:
✨ Honor your season. Some chapters are made for scaling. Others for sustaining. Both are valid.
✨ Design your delivery. Build offers that fit your life—not ones that drain it. Let's make things lighter and yet scalable.
✨ Prioritize simplicity. Automation isn’t just a tool—it’s a form of self-respect.
✨ Lead with presence, not pressure. Your presence is your power. You don’t need to be “everywhere” to make an impact. And most of the time, the pressure we feel is pressure we put on ourselves.
What would it feel like if you were able to not only build a business that you love, but build one that will serve you and your family?
Then the question I have for you is this: what would happen if you launched, and what would happen if you didn't?
How would you feel?
Does launching your business that will generate money and make a big impact feel aligned with you ...
This is what we do inside Launch and Lead—because your business should grow with you, not against you.
If you’re ready to build something sustainable, scalable, and soul-led—even in the middle of motherhood…

You’re not behind.
You’re just building something real.
